From the West on I-40:
Take I-40 E to I-240 to Exit 8
Turn left at the top of the ramp
Turn Right at the dead end (Swannanoa River Road). Follow signs to
WNC Nature Center
Turn right on Azalea Road
Coming from Swannanoa River Road, the first area you come to is for
Field #1. Please travel to the Field #4 parking area, which is a
turn to the right just after you pass all 4 fields at the complex.

From the north, Access I-240 West from HWY 19/23 South. This
interchange is crowded and requires a quick merge to the right. Once
on I-240, stay in the right lane and take Exit 3B (Holiday Inn
Drive/Westgate). Enter the Crown Plaza and follow the signs to the
Asheville Indoor Soccer Center.
From the South, Take I-26 Westbound to Asheville. As 26 ends, follow
I-240 to Asheville. Travel 3-4 miles and take Exit 3B
(Westgate/Holiday Inn Drive). This is a congested area and the exit
is on the right. Follow the signs through the Westgate Shopping
Center and to the Crown Plaza. Once on the hotel property, there are
signs directing you to our facility.
From the west, take I-40 to Asheville. Take I-240 into Asheville.
This is a left-side exit at the I-26/I-240 Interchange. Travel 3-4
miles and take Exit 3B (Westgate/Holiday Inn Drive). This is a
congested area and the exit is on the right. Follow the signs

Out of town follow I-26 to the Upward Rd. exit. Turn right onto
Upward Rd. Stay on this until Rt. 176 (there will be a stoplight and
an Ingles in front of you). Turn left onto Rt. 176. After a mile or
so the first traffic light will be Blue Ridge Rd. Turn right onto
Blue Ridge Rd. and go past Flat Rock Middle School which will be on
your left. Continue another 1/4 mile and there will be a pond on
your right. Past the pond, make a right onto Assembly Drive. Go to
the stop sign and make a right onto Alston, then a right onto
Kinross. Go to the next left which will be Recreational Drive. Go
past the pool and the field will be on your right. There are no
bathrooms at the field.

Directions to Bowman Middle School softball field
If you are coming from Asheville you will want to
get on 26 heading toward Mars Hill, just past the Mars Hill exit
will the the exit that will take you toward Burnsville. I am not
exactly sure of the exit number, but it will be the Burnsville exit,
you will need to tak this exit, it will take you all the way into
Burnsville. You will want to stay on this road. If you count the
traffic lights, there is one when you exit off of HWY 26, if you
count that as one you will need to keep straight until you come to
light number seven. At this light you will take a left, this will
put you on a four lane road, heading toward Bakersville. You will
travel this road, until you come into the city limits of Bakersville.
Once entering into the city limits, to will travel straight until
you come to an Exxon station, just before the Exxon station, take a
right and follow this road to the stop sign. At the stop sign, you
will take another right, travel about 1/2 mile and the field will be
on your right, it will be next to the main road. The sign will read
Mitchell County Rec. Dept.

Canton Middle School
I-40 toward Canton/Knoxville. Exit 37 toward East
Canton. Turn left on Wiggins Road (end of the ramp and go under I-40
to the light.) Turn right onto US19-23. Travel 5.2 miles on 19-23.
It will become a one way street (Park St) and will go through
downtown Canton (big paper mill on the right). Turn left at
N.Penland St. Follow Penland St across Main St and it will curve to
the right. Then turn left onto S. Penland St, go up the road and

As you approach Franklin continue traveling South on highway 441
by-pass past the first exit into Franklin and then you will pass a
Wal-mart on your left. You will take a left at the next red light.
At the stop sign in front of the gas station take another left on
Dowdle Mtn Road and proceed to the next stop sign and take a right
on Well Grove Road. The middle school will be on the right side of
the road after you go pass by the church and the fields are located
behind the school.

The Piedmont Homeschool Athletics soccer team has a new and FREE
field at the Conover YMCA.
Take I-40 East to exit 132, turn right. At the second light turn
right. There should be a FOOD LION across the street. The Y is on
the left immediately after turning, but go to the second entrance,
then turn back toward the Food Lion and you'll see the field. There
is a covered pavilion if shade is needed.
